Plated: Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 Wrap Up

Lately, on multiple occasions, I’ve entered the grocery store with the plan to buy some ingredients to make dinner. Each time I walk out confused and only have purchased milk, eggs, and peanut butter. I needed a plan; enter food delivery services. I’m on a mission to try Plated, Blue Apron, HelloFresh, handpick and whatever other services I can find a coupon code for. Enjoy the ride.

Day 1

Cuban Chicken Empanadas with Crispy Plantains

Fun/easy to make. Looks impressive. Tasty.
5 out of 5 plates. (let’s roll with that)

Day 2

Vermicelli Noodles with Pork, Scallions, and Spinach

Lots of ingredients. Impressive packaging. Too much stirring. Not so tasty, left a lot to be desired for.

DAY 3

Patty Melts with Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Okay, first a disclaimer: at a restaurant, if I see Patty Melt on the menu, that’s what I’ll be having. High hopes on this one..and it delivered! Delicious, easy, and now I can make my own. (Butter and mustard on rye bread for those curious)

    Plated is one of the many subscription food services that’s available out there. Everything looks so delicious in this 3 day meal review (minus the vermicelli noodle recipe, per the reviewer’s 2 out of 5 score).
